My name is Péter Soltay.
My passion for working with wood began in childhood, when at the age of 8–10 I often visited the local carpenter’s workshop—at first just to collect wood shavings for my hamster, but soon for leftover wood pieces. I proudly took these home and spent hours crafting with simple tools such as a file, a saw, and a hand drill, turning them into small boats, airplanes, and anything my imagination allowed.
I have been building furniture since my early adulthood. At first, I created pieces mainly for my family and for myself—always tailored to my current interests. My first works included cabinet-style terrariums and aquariums. Later, I crafted custom furniture for my various collections, and eventually for our own home.
As an adult, this passion was pushed into the background for many years, as I worked in office positions for nearly 15 years.
I also spent several years working in hospitality, including one year in Germany. After that, I worked in logistics and inventory management while completing my degree in Economics at the Budapest Business University.
The experience I gained throughout my life has greatly helped me in running my own business, and it also made it increasingly clear what I truly wanted to do. I constantly felt something was missing, so I applied for and completed professional carpentry training.
After earning my certification, I made the decision—and finally…
I Made My Dream Come True!
